She is marking nine months living in Catherine Park Estate and has continued to go from strength to strength in her new home adjacent to the Kensington precinct. Fifi, the Ficus Hillii Fig tree that officially moved in March this year, will be spending her first Christmas in Catherine Park Estate like so many other residents who have also moved in throughout the year.
Originally a resident of the Central Coast, Fifi was planted in autumn, braved the cold of winter, warmed up throughout spring and will now see out her first Catherine Park Estate Summer.
Fifi strikes a majestic figure against the growing community from her station on the second roundabout of Catherine Park Drive. And although she required two cranes and an entire team to plant Fifi still has plenty of growing to do, expected to grow to a typical height of 15 to 20 metres at full maturity.
Harrington Estates’ communities have long been recognised for their focus on mature vegetation and greenery. Harrington Park and Harrington Grove now boast leafy, shady streetscapes that continue to enhance the communities, and it is only a matter of time before Catherine Park Estate catches up.
